Affiliate Disclosure
The short version: some links on Cardboard Consensus are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission. You pay nothing extra.
The details
Cardboard Consensus is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. We may also participate in affiliate programs with other retailers, and this page will be updated if that list changes.
When a post contains affiliate links, a disclosure line appears at the top of that post — before any links — in accordance with FTC guidelines (16 CFR Part 255).
What this means for our recommendations
Nothing, and that's the point. Scores and tiers are set by our rating methodology before any link is added. We recommend plenty of games whose best price is somewhere we earn nothing, and our "Skip it if" warnings apply to games we'd earn commission on. If a recommendation ever feels like it exists to sell you something rather than help you choose, call it out in the comments — that's a bug, not a business model.
Pricing
We list typical price ranges (for example, "typically $18–22") rather than exact prices, because prices change constantly and sales are frequent. Always check the current price on the retailer's page before buying.
